Aésthetist is an online & digital magazine on slow culture.

It encourages readers to observe the noteworthy, select the essentials, and create with love.

Aé will help you to connect countless dots of information scattered in the cultural space of everyday life.

Sensing ideas

We write about what we love – not as critics, but as participants. We cognise the art of knowing and research culture through stories, myths, dialogs and objects.

Observer, Selector, Creator

Our issues are thematic. We pick a theme, we research and visualise it though the concepts of observer, selector, and creator.

Minimal & Pale

It is the name, the definition, and the hashtag of our visual style. “Pare down to the essence, but don’t remove the poetry”, right?

Doctor of Philosophy (Cultural Studies)
Researcher on Culture and Fashion

I’ve created Aesthetist as a source for articles that inspire a fresh attitude. These texts collide two opposite approaches to discover the nature of art, beauty and taste – writer’s way and scientist’s method. Made of short fragments, they evoke curiosity and tease imagination.

I believe that real aesthetic is much more than just an image: it is something you can feel, absorb, and even smell. My visuals are ``o chiero da minha vida.
